La Maternelle is a French and Spanish immersion program for 3+ years old children.
We believe that when it comes to learning a new language, children should start from an early age.
Our program will immerse children into the French and Spanish languages and cultures. We will develop our students' natural curiosity for the world and the people around them.
We are partnering with The Global Village, which allows us to enjoy its wonderful facilities.
La Maternelle by L'Atelier des p'tits Chefs, LLC is a language program founded by Estelle De Oliveira and Nelly Ravel, after they noticed the demand in the San Antonio community for foreign languages.
Born and raised in France, passionate about their beautiful country, culture and language, Nelly and Estelle started by offering French after-school programs such as French cooking classes and tutoring in French.
Born and raised in the south of France, Nelly has a passion for travel and education. She has lived in three different countries and has obtained a Master's degree in International Business.
Nelly has taught in different language and after-school programs since her move with her family to the United States. Nelly is also married and mother to two school-aged children.
After spending a year travelling and homeschooling her children, Nelly decided to continue teaching and sharing her love for education by making it her new career and creating L'atelier des p'tits chefs and La Maternelle with her friend, Estelle.
Married and the mother of two school-aged children,
Estelle was born and raised in Paris.
She has obtained two Bachelor's degrees, in Mathematics and Sciences and Technology, as well as a Teaching Certification.
She worked in French public schools for 12 years as a Preschool/Elementary School Teacher and Master Trainer.
Estelle and her family moved to San Antonio in July 2015.
Since then, Estelle has pursued her passion for teaching by teaching French classes to her own children, leading French group classes at home and French cooking classes in private schools with her friend Nelly.
